RTI DAY CELEBRATIONS – 2026
Meeting with Information Commissioners | 8th October, 2026.
On 8th October 2026, representatives of RTI ACTIVISTS ASSOCIATION met Hon’ble AP State Chief Information Commissioner Sri Vajja Srinivasarao garu and AP State Information Commissioners Dr. Rehana Begum garu, Sri Gajula Adenna garu, and Sri Parvada Simhachalam Naidu garu to brief them on the objectives and significance of the RTI Day Celebrations scheduled for 12 October 2026. During the meeting, the representatives highlighted the association’s efforts to promote awareness of the Right to Information Act, 2005, and emphasised the importance of transparency, accountability, and citizen empowerment in strengthening democratic governance. The interaction also underscored the need to encourage greater public awareness of the RTI Act and its role in enabling citizens to access information and participate more effectively in public affairs. The meeting formed part of the association’s initiatives to promote the values of the Right to Information Act and make the RTI Day Celebrations meaningful and impactful.
(2026 అక్టోబర్ 8వ తేదీన RTI ACTIVISTS ASSOCIATION ప్రతినిధులు, 2026 అక్టోబర్ 12వ తేదీన నిర్వహించనున్న RTI DAY CELEBRATIONS లక్ష్యాలు, ప్రాముఖ్యతను వివరించేందుకు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర గౌరవనీయ ప్రధాన సమాచార కమిషనర్ శ్రీ వజ్జా శ్రీనివాసరావు గారిని, రాష్ట్ర సమాచార కమిషనర్లు డా. రేహానా బేగం గారు, శ్రీ గజుల ఆదెన్న గారు మరియు శ్రీ పర్వాడ సింహాచలం నాయుడు గారిని కలవడం జరిగింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా సమాచార హక్కు చట్టం, 2005పై ప్రజల్లో అవగాహన పెంపొందించేందుకు అసోసియేషన్ చేస్తున్న కృషిని వివరించడం జరిగింది. ప్రజాస్వామ్య పాలనను మరింత బలోపేతం చేయడంలో పారదర్శకత, జవాబుదారీతనం మరియు పౌర సాధికారత ప్రాముఖ్యతను తెలియజేయడం జరిగింది. అలాగే, సమాచార హక్కు చట్టం ద్వారా పౌరులు ప్రభుత్వ సమాచారాన్ని పొందడం, ప్రజా వ్యవహారాల్లో మరింత చురుకుగా పాల్గొనడం వంటి అంశాలపై ప్రజల్లో విస్తృత అవగాహన కల్పించాల్సిన అవసరాన్ని ప్రస్తావించడం జరిగింది. సమాచార హక్కు చట్టం యొక్క ఆశయాలు, విలువలను ప్రజల్లోకి తీసుకెళ్లడంతో పాటు RTI DAY CELEBRATIONS కార్యక్రమాన్ని అర్థవంతంగా, ప్రభావవంతంగా నిర్వహించేందుకు ఈ సమావేశం ఒక ముఖ్యమైన ముందడుగుగా నిలిచింది.)
